Work on the Axle fibre project is getting underway in Brighton on the north side of Main Street starting on Monday, July 21.
The Municipality of Brighton says work will impact the stretch between Veterans Way and Princess Street and enable underground cable installation as part of the project.
Municipal staff note that certain parking spaces along Main Street will temporarily be unavailable, with cones set up around those spaces impacted.
“Spaces will be reopened as quickly as possible to minimize disruption,” adds staff.
Work is anticipated to wrap up within the week.
The Main Street crosswalk will remain open.
Officials are asking residents to exercise caution in the area during the work.
