Job seekers across the Bay of Quinte region are invited to the Work in Quinte Career Fair on Wednesday, October 15, from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre. This free event will bring together more than 45 employers offering full-time and part-time positions across multiple sectors, providing attendees with the chance to learn about local career opportunities, connect directly with recruiters, and explore potential career changes.
Pre-registration is required for entry, and job seekers are encouraged to arrive interview-ready with resumes uploaded to their workinquinte.ca profile or printed.
To help attendees prepare, Work in Quinte is offering a new workshop series called “Road to the Career Fair,” delivered by Meta Employment Services. The sessions focus on resume building, interview preparation, and tips for making the most of career fairs. For details, call Meta Employment Services at 613-966-9069 or email info@metaservices.ca.
“The Work in Quinte Career Fair is a strategic platform for forging connections between job seekers, employers, and agencies,” says Luisa Sorrentino, Economic Development Officer for Quinte West. Victoria Watts, Business Growth and Retention Specialist for Belleville, adds that the workshops give job seekers tools to succeed, whether starting out, changing careers, or returning to the workforce.
Work in Quinte also serves as a free, one-stop hub for job opportunities across the region, allowing job seekers to explore postings and upload resumes while employers can share openings and track applicants through the platform.
