One of the biggest annual celebrations of community philanthropy is about to take place.
The launch of the United Way of Peterborough and District’s 2025-26 fundraising campaign will be held Thursday at the Healthy Planet Arena.
United Way CEO Jim Russell says the event, at which the campaign goal will be revealed, provides an opportunity to come together and declare a shared commitment to the attainment of that goal.
As for the goal itself, Russell says a lot of discussion is held around that.
While acknowledging that while numerous worthy causes petition for support each year, United Way campaign dollars are vital to the continued provision of life changing initiatives provided by its member agencies.
Russell says campaign launch attendees can be assured of a fun time.
