A holiday season favourite is coming to Market Hall, courtesy of New Stages Theatre.
Adapted by Joe Landry, It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play will be staged December 10th to 14th. Tickets can be ordered online at www.newstages.ca.
Set in a 1940s era New York radio studio, with the actors playing the characters for a live show, the story centres around George Bailey as he reflects on his life and remembers what a precious gift it has been.
New Stages first presented the production in 2023 as its first foray into presenting a holiday-themed show. Artistic director Mark Wallace, who is directing the production, says it was a big hit then.
Wallace notes M. John Kennedy plays Bailey, surrounded by an excellent cast.
Wallace says the story appeals to all ages.
