Greater Napanee residents will have a chance to clear out their homes and pick up something new during the town’s next Giveaway Day on Saturday, September 6, 2025.
Running from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., the community event allows residents to place gently used items at the curb marked as “free.” Neighbours can then browse and collect items they may want or need at no cost.
Accepted items include books, furniture, kitchenware, small appliances, sporting goods, tools, electronics, and outdoor items. Prohibited items include baby equipment, mattresses, blinds, bath seats, and toys.
All unclaimed items must be removed from the curb by 7 p.m. the same day, as town staff will not collect leftover goods.
Officials encourage residents to participate as a way to recycle, reuse, and reduce waste while helping others in the community.
