City of Kawartha Lakes OPP are investigating after a vehicle was discovered upside down in the Talbot River in Kirkfield over the weekend.
Emergency crews were called to the scene just after 9:30 am Saturday, where the car was located in the water near Talbot River Road, east of Kirkfield Road.
The area was closed off as police and City of Kawartha Lakes Fire worked to recover the vehicle. The car has since been removed from the river and the OPP’s Underwater Search and Recovery Unit has confirmed that no one was inside.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and are asking anyone with information to contact them at 1-888-310-1122, referencing case number E250839571.
