United Way Peterborough & District is offering local social and human service charities a chance to apply for $25,000 per year over three years, for a total of $75,000, through its Agency Capacity Fund.
The funding is designed to strengthen the capacity of organizations addressing poverty and social exclusion, with a focus on Reconciliation, Equity, Accessibility, Diversity, and Inclusion (READI). Priority will be given to agencies providing essential services such as basic needs, life skills development, and community support programs.
“We are excited to offer this opportunity to agencies committed to serving and building community,” said Jim Russell, CEO of United Way Peterborough & District.
Over the next three years, the initiative aims to foster collaboration, break down systemic barriers, and create opportunities for everyone to thrive.
Eligible organizations in the City and County of Peterborough can apply through the United Way website: uwpeterborough.ca/funding.
