Two people are facing impaired driving charges after separate crashes overnight in Lennox and Addington County.
Just after 9:00 p.m. on Monday, August 4, OPP were called to a drive-thru collision at a local business. The driver fled the scene but was later found and arrested. Justine Orr, 32, of Loyalist Township, is charged with impaired driving, dangerous driving, and failure to stop after an accident.
A few hours later, around 3:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, police were called to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 401 in Tyendinaga Township. Officers arrested 20-year-old Justin Shifaw of Peterborough at the scene. He faces two impaired driving charges and one count of dangerous driving.
Both drivers had their licences suspended for 90 days and their vehicles impounded. They are scheduled to appear in court in Greater Napanee on August 26, 2025.
