While the season didn’t end with a championship for the Trent Excalibur men’s lacrosse team, some extremely special performances have been recognized.
A total of four players, including two first-year student-athletes, were named Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association (CUFLA) all-Canadians.
Those chosen were Mason Tardiff, Nick Fournier, Reed Chamberlain and Curtis Conley. The distinctions are given based on a poll of league coaches.
Additionally, Chamberlain, Fournier, Quinn Jacobs and goalie Callan Baker were picked to play in the second annual CUFLA Rookie All-Star Game, which was held during the Baggataway Cup Championship weekend.
Chamberlain, a criminology student, led Trent in scoring this season with 28 points. Fournier, in the Teacher Education stream, finished close behind with 27 points and a team-leading 20 goals.
