The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation is continuing to push to improve local healthcare and raise critical funds for the multi-million-dollar emergency room expansion at TMH.
In terms of the latest, the foundation has launched a 50/50 raffle as part of the festivities for its upcoming Gilligan’s Island-inspired gala. All of the fundraising is to support the “Emerge Stronger” campaign, which is raising monies to expand the ER and upgrade essential equipment.
The raffle is a chance to win and give back, say organizers, adding if the event sold out, the winner could take home up to $20,000.
Tickets start at $10 and are available now via the TMHF website, through the TMHF office in-person, by calling 613-392-2540 ext. 5401 or via e-transfer to raffle@tmhfoundation.com. People who email are asked to include their names, emails and/or phone numbers, note organizers.
The Emerge Stronger campaign at Trenton Memorial Hospital is described as a multi-year effort to expand the ER, acquire vital new equipment, and advance a modern medical information system rollout.
As previously reported, the goal for the ER redevelopment is to renovate about 6,000 square feet and add another 1,000 square feet to create a new state-of-the-art ER for the hospital, which can help TMH better accommodate growing patient volumes.
Meanwhile, there is still time to get in on the action for this year’s gala, entitled: “Stranded in Style – An Evening on Gilligan’s Island.”
The gala is set for Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, at the Batawa Community Centre. Inspired by the popular TV show, tickets are $250 each. Tickets are accessible online, by emailing mmior@tmhfoundation.com or calling the foundation office at 613-392-2540 ext. 5867.
