The Town of Greater Napanee is closing part of the Springside Park trail this week to clean up four abandoned encampment sites.
The section between Bracken Street and the base of the falls will be shut down from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19, and Thursday, Nov. 20.
Town officials say the closure is needed to allow crews to safely remove debris and restore the area. The cleanup is expected to cost $15,000 over the two-day period.
The town advises residents to avoid the area and use alternate routes while work is underway.
