After two seasons with the Edmonton Oilers, Corey Perry is off to Los Angeles. The Kings announced yesterday that the veteran forward has signed a one-year deal worth $3.5 million. Perry has played in the Stanley Cup Final five times in the past six seasons with four different teams.
Peterborough was well represented at the 2025 Pan-American Women’s Lacrosse Championship, which wrapped up this week in Florida. Skylar McArthur and Erica Evans suited up for Team Canada, while Allison Daley served as co-coach. Evans finished third in team scoring, with 9 goals and 13 points in five games. Canada placed second, qualifying for next year’s World Championships in Tokyo.
In Ontario Women’s Field Lacrosse action, the Kawartha U19 JEWL Elite team will take on the Kitchener-Waterloo Kodiaks tonight at 7pm inside Justin Chiu Stadium at Trent University. Both teams come into the game with 5-1 records.
And the Jr A Lakers will look for their fourth straight win tonight when they host the Brampton Excelsiors. Game time is 8pm at the PMC. The Lakers are coming off a double overtime victory on Monday, where Carson Christy was the OT hero in a 7-6 win over Mimico.
