The United Way of Peterborough & District has officially unveiled its annual campaign goal.
At Healthy Planet Arena on Thursday, members of the community stopped by to support the launch party where they heard this year’s target is $1.6 million.
CEO Jim Russell this is a really important day.
As for the important work the United Way does, Russell says last year alone they were involved in 300,000 different interactions.
Campaign Chair Paul Rellinger, who is also a contributor for Oldies 96.7/FREQ 90.5, says if they are able to reach the ambitious figure, it would mean great things for the community.
