Tributes are continuing to pour in after the passing of Councillor Dave Pinnell Jr.
Greater Napanee Mayor Terry Richardson shared one memory, that many in the community may not have known Dave was involved in! He helped organize the floats for the Parade of Lights.
Pinnell Jr. is leaving a big hole to fill in the council chamber, having sat on two important committees.
Both Richardson and former mayor Marg Isbester agreed, Pinnell Jr. came prepared for every council meeting, having read the full agenda cover to cover and reaching out to staff with any question.
Isbester shared he was a consummate volunteer and person who loved his community, and wanted to give back everything he could. “And he got a lot out of that himself, too. Which is important! It’s good to try and get your name out front and center, but if you’re doing it for the reasons that Dave Pinnell Jr. did it, then you’re doing it the right way.”
A celebration of life for Dave Pinnell Jr. will be taking place Sunday, August 17th at the Napanee Legion. Doors open at 1pm. It will be a casual afternoon of stories and laughter.
