Coaches Tara King (U11) and Jocelyne Lemay (JEWL) were named “Coach of the Year” in their respective divisions, adding to the club’s accolades.
Founded over 28 years ago, Kawartha Lacrosse has become a standout despite being one of the smallest organizations in the OWFL. The club runs six rep teams, a house league, a U9 Prep to Rep program, and a new Women’s Recreational League. Many players have gone on to represent Ontario universities, NCAA teams, and even Canada at international levels.
“I’m incredibly proud of all of the young athletes, the coaches and bench staff who represent Kawartha Lacrosse with honour and respect in the OWFL,” said Fred Blowes, Founder and Director. “Our long history of athletic success is a testimony to our past and present coaches, our incredible players and their supportive families.”
