A 23-year-old Peterborough man is facing a new charge after previously being charged with criminal harassment.
The original incident happened on March 8 at the Walmart on Chemong Road, when two women reported a man following them closely through the store while possibly recording them.
The incident made the women feel unsafe, and an off-duty officer later helped take the suspect into custody in April.
As part of the investigation, detectives seized a cellular device. An authorized search revealed disturbing images, leading officers to execute a search warrant at a Peterborough residence on Thursday.
The man was arrested and is now also charged with possession of child pornography.
