Nine local organizations are receiving a total of $52,150 in funding from the Peterborough Foundation to support capital projects aimed at enhancing services for clients.
The grants were approved at the Foundation’s June board meeting. Recipients include the New Canadians Centre, Our Daughters’ Home, VON Peterborough/Victoria/Haliburton, and the Alzheimer Society’s Geriatric Health program, among others.
Founded in 1953, the Peterborough Foundation has distributed more than $2 million to local charities. Run entirely by volunteers, the organization will issue its next round of capital grants in December.
Applications are due by November 1st.
