The Northumberland Humane Society (NHS) is celebrating a record-breaking result from this year’s Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign, which raised $21,340.51 to support animals in need across Northumberland County.
Participating Tim Hortons locations in Cobourg and Colborne invited community members to purchase Holiday Smile Cookies, with 100 percent of proceeds donated to NHS and the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps. The campaign showcases the community’s generosity and continued support for local animal welfare initiatives.
“We’re smiling from ear to ear,” said Max Chipman, Director of Operations at NHS. “This campaign is always such a special event, and to see our community step up in such a big way means the world to us, and the animals in our care. These funds will directly support medical treatments, sheltering, food, and second chances for pets who need us most.”
NHS extends heartfelt thanks to community members who purchased cookies or pre-ordered boxes, volunteers who decorated and supported the campaign, and the dedicated Tim Hortons teams who made it possible.
Chipman adds, “This is more than just a fundraiser. It’s a celebration of compassion. Every cookie sold represents hope for an animal waiting for safety, healing, and a loving home.”
Founded in 1966, NHS is a non-profit, charitable organization committed to changing the lives of animals, one paw at a time. Operating with almost no government funding, NHS serves all of Northumberland County, working toward a community where all animals are safe, supported, and valued.
