Northumberland County council will take another run at its draft 2026 budget at the end of this month.
The county has confirmed a special meeting has been called for Sept. 29 for council to continue tackling 2026 budget deliberations.
The meeting will start at 9 a.m. and will be open to the public unless any matters arise that prompt a council move into an in-camera session.
Residents can get involved by attending in-person or virtually. The agenda hasn’t been published.
Staff say agendas are usually available about four business days ahead of meetings.
