A Canadian music icon is set to take the stage at Del Crary Park this Wednesday as Peterborough Musicfest welcomes Jim Cuddy and his band for a free outdoor concert.
Best known as a founding member of Blue Rodeo, Cuddy has been a driving force in Canadian music for more than four decades. With 16 albums, 15 JUNO Awards, the Order of Canada, and a 2024 induction into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, his impact is undeniable. His solo work has also earned acclaim, including his latest album All The World Fades Away, a reflective yet forward-looking collection of songs.
Cuddy last appeared at Musicfest with Blue Rodeo in 1996 and has since performed at the festival with his band on three separate occasions.
Kicking off Wednesday night’s lineup is Alderville First Nation singer-songwriter Cale Crowe, who returns as part of the Future Sound Series presented by Cogeco. Crowe opens the evening on the festival’s second stage at 6:30 pm following a happy hour food special from 5 to 6 pm.
The Jim Cuddy Band hits the main stage at 8 pm.
Admission is free to all performances at Peterborough Musicfest, now in its 38th season. Full details can be found at ptbomusicfest.ca.
