Growing Up on the Farm, a look into local agriculture, presented by KUBOTA. We are profiling Kaiser Lake Farms.
Kaiser Lake Farms is thriving under three generations. Rob Kaiser, along with his sister Molly, is continuing the legacy of the Farm, located 20 kilometres south of Napanee.
Their grandfather, Eric Kaiser, bought the land in 1968 after graduating from RMC and serving in the army. Over time, he expanded the farm as neighbouring families retired. Today, the Kaisers raise layer chickens and work over 1,300 acres of corn, soybeans, and wheat.
The family also plants sunflowers every year for passersby to enjoy. The farm is known for its extensive tile drainage system and sustainable practices like no-till farming, manure management, and crop rotation.
Rob focuses on the crops, while Molly manages the livestock side. Together, they plan to share ownership and carry the farm into the next generation.
They say continuing their grandfather’s legacy is both a responsibility and something they are proud of.
