The Town of Greater Napanee has announced it will disable comments on all social media posts starting today. The decision applies to all platforms and aims to create a safer and more inclusive online space for residents.
Town officials say the move follows a growing trend among municipalities working to limit misinformation and maintain respectful communication.
While comments are turned off, residents are still encouraged to ask questions and report concerns through official channels.
They can use the Town’s online Report an Issue form, send an email to info@greaternapanee.com, call 613-354-3351, or contact staff directly through the online staff directory.
The Town says the change will help ensure residents receive clear and accurate information from reliable sources.
