Loyalist Township is celebrating the grand reopening of the Fairfield Gutzeit House with two free outdoor events on August 7 and 8, 2025.
The historic Georgian-style home, built in 1796, has been fully restored and will reopen with music, family fun and heritage tours on its scenic lakeside grounds. On August 7, visitors can enjoy a free concert by string quartet Quartessence at 6:30 p.m., with self-guided house tours starting at 5:30 p.m.
On August 8, families can return for a puppet show in the park at 2:00 p.m. Earlier in the day, the Bath Museum will host a free stop-motion animation activity for kids with local author and illustrator Peggy Collins.
The Fairfield Gutzeit House will remain open for tours Thursday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., until August 24. Admission is $3 for adults and free for kids under 12.
