After digesting the budget vote result that saved the minority Liberal government from falling, Northumberland-Clark Conservative MP Philip Lawrence says the budget doesn’t meet the moment.
Lawrence says how the budget’s money ends up helping municipalities will depend on the cash even getting there.
Lawrence says a previous incarnation of the Building Communities Strong fund fell flat.
Lawrence is also critical of the amount of money in the budget that is directed toward the public service.
In terms of continuing to hold the minority Liberal government’s feet to the fire, Lawrence says that is the Conservatives imperative.
