Peterborough Police are asking for help identifying a driver after a 6-year-old boy was struck while crossing Chemong Road with his father last month.
The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, August 25, at the traffic lights near Shoppers Drug Mart and Walmart. The boy suffered minor injuries. Police say the driver stopped, apologized, and then left the scene.
The driver is described as a slim, white female with shoulder-length brown hair, wearing a brown tank top. The vehicle is believed to be a grey, four-door KIA Optima, model years 2010 to 2015.
