Northumberland OPP says a 22-year-old Peterborough resident is facing dangerous driving and stunt driving charges in connection with a serious summertime crash.
According to OPP, the two-vehicle collision happened in the County Road 28 area near Bewdley back on July 7 and sent both drivers and four passengers to various trauma centres.
The crash shut down the road for several hours as OPP’s specialists trained in collision reconstruction were also called in to assist with the investigation.
On Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, OPP said officers arrested one of the drivers involved in the crash.
As a result of the investigation, police said a 22-year-old Peterborough resident was charged with five counts of dangerous operation causing bodily harm, and drive motor vehicle – perform stunt.
None of these charges have been proven in court. The accused will appear in Cobourg court in November.
No other details were released by police.
