A night of fashion and fundraising will take centre stage in Lindsay as Couture for Kids returns for its second year in support of Five Counties Children’s Centre.
The event is set for Thursday, Oct. 2, at Celebrations Lindsay on Lindsay Street North. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the fashion show beginning at 7. Tickets are $25 and include light snacks from Milk and Honey Eatery.
The runway will feature styles from local retailers including Brittany N Bros, Brittany’s Shoes, Bonita Clothing & Co., Cathy Allan Ladieswear, John G’s, Homethreads Boutique, The Lingerie Loft, Lizzy’s by Cathy Allan, and Nisbett’s Clothiers.
“We’re delighted to welcome everyone back for our second annual Couture for Kids,” said Lyn Giles, director of fund development at Five Counties Children’s Centre. “By showcasing the creativity of our local retailers, this event not only shines a spotlight on community talent, but raises vital awareness and support for the life-changing services provided by Five Counties in the City of Kawartha Lakes.”
Alongside the fashion show, attendees can take part in a raffle featuring prizes such as floral arrangements from Hill Florist, a diamond jewel handbag and earrings from Lizzy’s by Cathy Allan, and gift baskets and gift cards from local businesses. “Pass the Purse” will also return, giving guests who donate a chance to win the purse itself.
All proceeds will go toward treatment services for children and youth supported by Five Counties in the City of Kawartha Lakes. The centre provided services to 1,359 kids and youth in the region during 2024-25.
