The Peterborough Museum & Archives (PMA) is inviting visitors to step back in time with its new major exhibit, Carnivorous Dinosaurs, opening Saturday.
The museum will be open extended hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the Thanksgiving long weekend, Saturday, October 11 to Monday, October 13, giving families and dinosaur enthusiasts a chance to explore the prehistoric predators up close. Admission is a suggested donation of $20 per group.
Developed by Research Casting International, the exhibit features life-sized skeletons, dramatic skull displays, and bilingual interpretive panels highlighting meat-eating dinosaurs such as Tyrannosaurus rex, Allosaurus, Albertosaurus, and Deinonychus.
“We’re excited to bring this high-caliber exhibit to our community,” said Susan Neale, Director of the Peterborough Museum & Archives. “Dinosaurs have universal appeal, and this exhibit not only captures the imagination but also shares cutting-edge paleontological science in a fun, family-friendly way.”
Visitors can discover how these prehistoric giants hunted, scavenged, and thrived millions of years ago while learning about Earth’s changing climates and ecosystems.
