The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board has launched its first-ever 40 UNDER 40 awards to recognize young leaders making a difference in the region. Nominations are open until July 27, 2025, for anyone under 40 from Belleville, Napanee, Brighton, Quinte West, or the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte.
Nominees can be entrepreneurs, volunteers, students, or anyone contributing to the community. People can even nominate themselves. Those selected will be honoured at a celebration on September 18 at Signal Brewery, with music by Moon Sugar and a keynote by entrepreneur Sarah Prevette.
Winners will receive professional headshots, an award, and community recognition. The Top 5 will get special honours.
Tickets go on sale in August for $75, including food, drinks, and entertainment.
Organizers also plan follow-up idea sessions with the 40 winners to brainstorm new projects for the region.
