Removal of hazardous ash trees in the County Road 3 Carrying Place area will mean some traffic disruptions this Friday, Nov. 21.
Prince Edward County arborists will be tackling removal as part of its annual ash tree removal program.
As a result of the work, officials said County Road 3 will be reduced to one lane between Taft Road and Loyalist Parkway from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Traffic control will be present. Officials also noted that heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area, and noise levels will be elevated during the work.
Motorists are being asked to approach the area with caution or simply avoid the construction zone where possible.
