Air Canada cancelled hundreds of additional flights on Sunday after its flight attendants announced they would continue striking, defying a federal back-to-work order.
The federal government intervened in the labour dispute on Saturday, less than 12 hours after the strike began.
Air Canada says roughly 940 flights on Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge have been cancelled so far, leaving thousands of passengers stranded or scrambling for alternative ways to reach their destinations.
