Quinte Conservation’s popular Adopt an Acre campaign is back for 2025, giving residents a chance to support local pollinators while enjoying hands-on learning. This year’s focus is the Pollinator Meadow at South Potter’s Creek Conservation Area, an outdoor classroom where schools and community groups can plant native wildflowers, observe pollinators in action, and learn about their vital role in the environment.
Proceeds from the campaign will help expand the Pollinator Meadow, add educational signage, and fund stewardship programs. For a $30 donation, participants can symbolically adopt an acre of protected land, receiving a certificate and tax receipt. Donors who adopt four or more acres will receive a limited-edition 10oz Yeti Rambler in white or rescue red, perfect for holiday gifting.
Last year, Adopt an Acre supported improvements at Beaver Meadow Conservation Area, including a new viewing platform and trail. The 2025 campaign runs until December 22, with shipping deadlines on December 15. Residents can participate online, by phone, or in person at Quinte Conservation in Belleville.
