Transition House is hosting a public information session Wednesday in Cobourg to encourage a broader discussion about homelessness and possible community solutions.
Executive Director Christian Harvey says homelessness cannot be attributed solely to personal choices, pointing to affordability, financial hardship and a lack of housing as significant factors.
Harvey says lasting progress will require cooperation rather than a divide between enforcement and social support. He also identifies affordable housing as a key part of addressing the issue.
The discussion begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity United Church.
