YMCA Northumberland is inviting Cobourg residents to hear directly from mayoral candidates at a community forum next week.
The Cobourg Mayoral Candidates Fireside Chat and Q&A is scheduled for Oct. 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Cobourg YMCA on Elgin Street West. The informal event will give candidates and residents an opportunity to discuss issues facing the community ahead of the municipal election.
Candidates will answer a series of pre-determined questions that have been reviewed in advance and will be provided to them before the event. The final 30 minutes will feature an open question-and-answer session, allowing members of the public to raise their own concerns.
YMCA Northumberland CEO Eunice Kirkpatrick says the organization is proud to provide a welcoming space where residents can connect with local leaders and discuss the future of Cobourg.
Seating is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
