Jeremy Coulis has called Cobourg home for 25 years, where he has raised his family, built a business and a home, and watched the community grow and change. He says he is running for council to give back to the community that has provided so much to him and his family. Coulis says he brings real-world experience, a strong work ethic and a passion for Cobourg.
Priorities and Experience
Coulis says his main objectives are making Cobourg safer, more affordable and more vibrant while giving residents a stronger voice in municipal decisions. Community safety is one of his priorities, along with responsible municipal spending and ensuring taxpayers receive value from the services they fund.
He also wants to support local businesses and encourage responsible development as Cobourg continues to grow. Maintaining infrastructure and the municipal services residents rely on is another focus.
Coulis says he wants to approach the role by listening to residents, attending to community concerns and working collaboratively with other members of council. He describes his approach as practical and grounded in his experience as a local business owner and longtime resident.
Why Cobourg
After a quarter-century in Cobourg, Coulis says the community is where he has built his family life and business. He wants to contribute to its future while helping ensure residents have a meaningful voice in the decisions shaping the town.
