Northumberland County is inviting residents and Northumberland County Forest users to an Oct. 6 open house focused on the future of the forest’s trail network.
The session will provide an update on a Trail Network Study examining how trails could be improved, expanded and refined over the next decade. The study will also consider environmental impacts and forest-management priorities.
The county says the work builds on its 2009 Trails Network Study and 2021-2041 Forest Management Plan. Residents and trail users will have an opportunity to share feedback during the open house, which runs from 6 to 8 p.m. in the second-floor council chambers at the county administration building in Cobourg.
