A Colborne man has been charged following an alleged break and enter and assault in Cobourg early Monday.
Police say officers responded to several 911 calls about an assault near Margaret and King streets at about 2:15 a.m.
Investigators allege the man returned to a residence where he had previously been staying and forced his way inside after being refused entry, damaging the property and getting into a confrontation with two people.
Connor Hogg faces charges in connection with the incident. He was released following a bail hearing.
