A Cobourg man has been charged with criminal negligence following a dog-bite incident that sent an adult to hospital earlier this week.
Northumberland OPP say officers responded around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a loose dog that had bitten someone near Elgin Street West and William Street.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment. Police are reminding dog owners to keep their animals properly secured and under control.
