Drivers in Port Hope should plan for delays on Toronto Road Thursday as construction continues on the Victoria Street and Toronto Road reconstruction project.
The Municipality of Port Hope says traffic delays are expected from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, along Toronto Road between Fraser Street and Ridout Street.
The temporary disruption will allow crews to complete road cutting, saw cutting and hydro-vac excavation work as part of the ongoing reconstruction project.
Traffic control personnel will be on site throughout the day to safely manage both vehicle and pedestrian movement.
Motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time or consider alternate routes if possible while the work is underway.
Municipal officials thank residents and drivers for their patience and cooperation as the project continues.
