Thousands of visitors passed through the Cobourg Community Centre over the weekend as the Northumberland Home, Garden and Leisure Show returned for another successful year.
Presented by the Ryan Huffman Real Estate Team, the two-day event brought together more than 70 exhibitors and offered residents an opportunity to connect with local businesses, gather ideas for future projects and learn more about everything from landscaping and home improvement to recreation and real estate.
One visitor summed up the appeal of the show this way.
As presenting sponsor, the Ryan Huffman Real Estate Team spent the weekend meeting homeowners, prospective buyers and residents looking for insight into the current housing market.
Ryan Huffman says sellers continue to find success when homes are properly prepared and realistically priced.
Meanwhile, team member Amy McPherson says on the buyers side, people are approaching the market with a longer-term mindset than they were several years ago.
McPherson says today’s buyers are doing extensive research and focusing closely on value before making a purchase.
New team member Karthick Nagasamy says those buyers are benefiting from having more options available than during the pandemic housing boom.
Nagasamy says buyers now have more opportunity to compare properties and find homes that truly fit their needs and long-term goals.
The strong turnout at this year’s Home, Garden and Leisure Show highlighted both the strength of local businesses and continued community interest in housing, home improvement and investing in Northumberland.

Organizers say plans are already underway for a Fall Home Show, with details expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
