From designer fashion and accessories to fine art, collectibles and even quirky vintage items, the Northumberland Humane Society’s Auction for Paws fundraiser is offering something for everyone all in support of animals in need.
The online auction features a wide range of donated items, appealing to both casual shoppers and serious collectors, with proceeds going directly to support shelter operations.
Community Outreach Specialist Krystyne Gillespie says the variety is one of the highlights.
In addition to fashion items, the auction also includes high-value collectibles and artwork.
Max Chipman, Director of Operations with Northumberland Humane Society tells us that includes collectibles from the likes of the Franklin Mint, including a detailed vintage automobile collection, as well as original works from artists including Alex Fong of Kamloops, B.C., Jacques Poirier, Bill Saunders and Jamie McLean, along with steel sculptures from Boris Kramer, a soapstone carving from Inuit artist Jacob Ercock, and pieces from noted wood decoy artists Jim Harkness and Robert Kelly.
Gillespie adds, the auction also features more unique items for those looking for something different.
Officials say all proceeds will support the shelter at a critical time of year, as intake increases during the spring.
Bidding closes April 13th at noon, with residents encouraged to take part and support animals in care while also finding some rare and unique deals.
