Victoria Hall will close to the public at 4:30 p.m. today, December 19, as part of the ongoing generator relocation construction project.
The Town of Cobourg says the work involves moving the building’s existing diesel generator from a temporary trailer behind Victoria Hall to a permanent pad on the southwest side of the building.
The generator installation is expected to be completed by the end of the year, marking the final stage of the project. During the work, visitors will not have access to the building after the early closure. The Town thanks residents and visitors for their patience and cooperation as crews complete the electrical work and ensure the generator is safely installed in its new location.
Residents and visitors with questions or concerns can contact Cobourg Customer Service by email at customerservice@cobourg.ca or by phone at 905-373-4301 ext. 9518.
This project is part of the Town’s ongoing efforts to maintain and upgrade essential municipal infrastructure, ensuring Victoria Hall remains operational and fully supported by reliable emergency power systems in the future. Residents are encouraged to plan visits around the early closure today.
