Three drivers are facing stunt driving charges after being stopped by Peterborough Police over the past three days.
Two vehicles were recorded travelling at 92 and 95 km/h in a 50 zone on Lily Lake Road and Dolman Street between 9 and 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 29. Both drivers received 30-day licence suspensions and had their vehicles impounded for 14 days.
A third driver was charged early Friday morning, October 31, after being clocked at 101 km/h in a 50 zone on Lansdowne Street, just east of River Road. That driver also received a 30-day licence suspension and 14-day vehicle impoundment.
Peterborough Police continue to remind motorists that excessive speed not only carries serious penalties under Ontario’s stunt driving laws but also puts everyone on the road at risk.
