The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating an assault with a weapon that occurred in Picton on Friday, October 24, 2025. The incident happened around 11:15 p.m. outside a convenience store on Paul Street.
One person was injured and taken to a regional trauma centre. Authorities have confirmed the injuries are non-life-threatening. Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the assault and remain in custody. Their bail hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
The investigation is ongoing and is being handled by the Prince Edward County OPP, the Prince Edward County Crime Unit, and OPP Forensic Identification Services.
