Northumberland OPP is investigating a series of break-ins and a vehicle theft reported over the weekend in Roseneath.
Police say the first incident occurred Oct. 19 at an address on County Road 18, where an unsuccessful attempt was made to steal a vehicle sometime after 7:30 p.m. That same evening, two more break-ins were reported on County Road 45, including the theft of food items and other belongings.
Later that night, officers responded to another report on County Road 45, where suspects were believed to still be on the property. The OPP emergency response team and a drone were deployed to assist in the search.
On Oct. 20, officers were called to a business on County Road 18 after clothing was reported stolen and shortly after 9 a.m., a pick-up truck was taken from a property on 2nd Line Road. Investigators say two individuals were later seen driving the truck at a local gas station before leaving the area.
The investigation is ongoing with assistance from the community street crime unit. Police have released images of a male and female believed to be involved and are asking anyone with information to contact Northumberland OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or ontariocrimestoppers.ca, where information leading to an arrest could earn a reward of up to $2,000.
