It’s a busy week for the Peterborough Petes, with the team set to play its first stretch of back-to-back games of the season. The Petes host the Erie Otters tonight for their lone visit of the season to Peterborough, then travel to Brantford tomorrow to take on the Bulldogs.
Petes head coach Rob Wilson says the team has shown promise in the first four games but knows there’s still work to do to tighten up their performance.
Goaltending will be a key factor this weekend. Wilson confirmed Easton Rye will be between the pipes against Erie, with either Masen Johnston or Dylan Lee-Stack expected to get the start in Brantford.
Admitting that it can be more difficult to prepare for Western Conference teams, Wilson says there can’t be any excuses; they have to be ready for any opponent they face.
Tomorrow’s game against Erie will get underway at 7:05 pm, with limited tickets available through the Grant Thornton Box Office. For those who can’t make it to the PMC, coverage will be available on Freq 90.5, beginning just before 7 pm.
