Brighton’s Applefest returns September 25th to 28th, celebrating the apple harvest with four days of family fun, local food and entertainment.
The festival draws thousands each year to downtown Brighton, showcasing the community’s agricultural heritage and welcoming visitors from across Ontario.
Saturday September 27th features the signature street fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with more than 190 vendors offering Canadian-made products, food trucks and apple-themed treats. Families can visit the Children’s Village for activities and entertainment, car enthusiasts can admire a large classic and vintage vehicle show, and helicopter rides will offer a unique aerial view of the region’s fall colours.
New this year is the “Taste the Harvest” initiative, inviting festivalgoers to discover apple-inspired dishes at local restaurants, and the Applefest “Bucket List Contest” returns to engage visitors in activities across the festival.
Organizers are reminding attendees of a new no-pets by-law in certain festival areas, with exceptions for service animals, to help keep crowds safe.
Maps, parking details and updates are available on the municipality’s official Applefest page.
Whether sampling food, shopping at the street fair or enjoying live entertainment, Applefest promises a full weekend of activities for residents and visitors alike.
