The Peterborough Native Learning Program has issued a call for new and unopened hygiene and menstrual products for its clients.
The ongoing donation drive is seeking items such as pads and tampons, toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant, shampoos and conditioners, and hand sanitizer and wipes.
Donations can be dropped at the PNLP office in Peterborough Square, on the lower level near the escalators. Each donor will be gifted a gently-used Every Child Matters T-shirt.
PNLP executive director Jason Gilbert says the donation drive speaks directly to the needs of its clients, for whom it endeavours to remove barriers to learning.
Gilbert says donated items will go a long way toward building clients’ confidence which, in turn, encourages them to improve their situation.
Gilbert says clients’ achieving their goals is the reward for him and his staff.
