Belleville Police say they responded to 103 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on September 8 to 5 a.m. on September 9.
During this period, officers charged a man from Belleville following a shoplifting investigation that began on July 15, 2025, at a north end business. Through the investigation, police identified a suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest. The man later turned himself in.
On September 8, the Belleville man was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in October.
