The Peterborough Petes faced the Kingston Frontenacs yesterday in preseason play at the Asphodel-Norwood Community Centre.
Peterborough led 2-1 after the first period but couldn’t find the back of the net in the second or third, eventually falling 3-2.
They’ll travel to Sarnia on Friday for their final preseason game before opening the regular season at home next week.
The Trent Excalibur men’s lacrosse team improved to 2-0 with an 11-10 win over McGill yesterday.
Mason Tardiff led the offence with four goals, while Adam Thistlethwaite added a pair. Callan Baker earned the win in goal.
The Excalibur will hit the road Saturday to take on Bishop’s.
And Fleming College arboriculture students will put their skills to the test tomorrow at the annual Tree Climbing Competition at Frost Campus.
Participants will compete in events including tree rescue, throw line, and belayed speed climb, with winners advancing to provincial and national championships.
The competition runs from 9am to 3pm.
